What happens after your website goes live?
Launching is the start of using your website. Every new Northfaced website comes with a year of care and a direct contact when you need help.
A year of care from launch.
Every new website package includes 12 months of Hosting & Care from launch, with one business mailbox while care is active. Continuing afterwards is optional at £59 + VAT/month, with no automatic paid renewal.
You’ll have a walkthrough of your new site and a direct contact when you need help.
Choose what happens after year one.
Maintenance, website backups, automated monitoring, one business mailbox and direct technical support, tailored to your website’s platform. Included for a year with new Northfaced websites, then optional at £59 + VAT/month with 30 days’ notice to cancel.
You choose whether to stay. Paid care never starts automatically.
Keep control of your website.
Your domain and business data stay yours. Northfaced retains copyright in its original work; once paid for, you have a permanent licence to use and change it, including with another developer. Moving options depend on your platform and are explained before you book.
Moving provider later.
If you decide to leave, I’ll explain the moving options for your platform. A standard export of available website files and data is free during active care; help moving them is quoted separately.
Arrange replacement hosting and email before care ends. If you already hold your own platform account, it stays with you.
Your domain and business email.
Your domain stays in your name. You pay for registration and renewal; connecting it to your website is included.
One business mailbox is included while care is active. If you leave, you can move it or, where supported, keep the existing mailbox for £14.99 + VAT/month by arrangement. Email you buy independently is unaffected.
Allow for the other running costs.
Domains, platform subscriptions, payment fees and paid extras are separate. I’ll explain the running costs before you book.
Help with an existing website.
Repairs, improvements and independent reviews can be quoted for an existing website. Hosting & Care is available with new Northfaced website packages only, rather than as a standalone service.
